Lower cost, yet better performance: To exhibit its performance in these rigorous operating conditions, AMSOIL subjected INTERCEPTOR Synthetic 2 cycle oil to 50 hrs of intense engine testing in a Rotax® E-TEC® 800R engine found in a number of Ski-Doo® snowmobiles. This motor is capable of producing 163.9 hp and 7,900 rpm, the E-TEC 800R is amongst the most advanced and demanding power sports engines available on the market. Immediately after testing, the engine was taken apart and shipped to an ASTM-calibrated rater who analyzed the various components for wear, deposits and other distress. The results speak for themselves. INTERCEPTOR entirely eliminated piston skirt scuffing, ring sticking and exhaust-power-valve sticking. Merit ratings allotted to other critical engine components, such as the cylinders and wrist pins, are also high and ensure the superb protection provided by AMSOIL Interceptor synthetic 2 cycle oil.

The only exception being the AMSOIL's DOMINATOR™ Synthetic 2-Cycle racing oil which is specifically formulated to offer maximum lubricity in racing application. Higher sulphated ash content in this oil is well suited for wide open throttle position riding conditions where excessive deposits are not a concern. AMSOIL does not recommend the use of DOMINATOR™ 2-Cycle racing oil for everyday trail use with stop and go riding conditions. INTERCEPTOR® is compatible with other two cycle oils, therefore mixing is not an issue.
